Your patches have been integrated into 2.45 (coming to a Red Bean near you
RSN). Thanks for those.

I don't suppose you have a real-life cvs log lying around that shows up the
spurious bracket issue (that you could let me have)? It'd be really cool to
have a test case to avoid future regressions.
